What is the difference between Acetophenone and Ibuprofen?
What is the difference, in non-medical terms? Growing up I always took Tylenol, but lately it seems Ibuprofen is better for things like sore muscles or a slight hangover.

ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug, that is why it works for sore muscles. acetaminophen is not. if you have any further questions on meds you can feel free to email me. hope this helps.
Acetaminophen like Tylenol is for treating light to moderate Pain and is more gentle to your stomach than
Aspirin(Salicylate) but Aspirin also treat all kinds of pain and fever
Ibuprofen an anti inflammatory or against inflammation ,painkiller especially dental pain, muscles.
But Ibuprofen can cause sometimes serious bleeding in the stomach.
so you can take either one. Be be careful, to avoid serious interaction to not take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen or Aspirin the same day and do not drink alcohol. If you must take a prescription medicine tell your doctor that you also taken an over the counter pain/fever reducer.
I hope that information was helpful

The former works to stop your brain from registering the pain, and the latter things your blood to relieve pressure/pain. Simple as that.
