What to do about severe joint pain after pregnancy?

I feel like I have rheumatoid arthritis, but I had a blood test and it was ruled out. I can predict rain with these joints now! In especial pain are the tops of my knees and my thumbs (can’t open jars). Also painful are my ankles, toes and fingers.

My OB referred me to my general practitioner. He told me to take ibuprofen, which is helping, but long term I don’t think it’s a good idea to take a constant regimen of it.

Other thoughts? I feel like someone who has lived a good, long life and I’ve got a way to go yet!

The actual product I’m looking at is Cool Cayenne. They sell this with or without the Butcher’s Broom herb. Would it assist the performance of the cayenne for this condition?

Hi,
Being new to sever Arthritis and being relatively young, I wonder if I would be better off living where there is very little cold weather as I am having a rough time of it up here in NJ, pain meds and all.

Any idea if it matters for the better that a person in my situation would be better off in a warmer place, or not?

THANKS!

This is a feminine issue, so all who can’t handle it, please leave the kitchen! C:
I have been taking one or various NSAID pain relievers (Naproxen, Peroxicam…) every day for the past four or so years because I had what my doctors thought was Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis. Last month a CT scan revealed that I had a bone tumor, and it was removed. Since then I have not taken any of my NSAID pain relievers but this week, when I got my period, I noticed it was heavier than it had ever been…in my life. I’m sixteen now, so that makes sense, doesn’t it?
Is it because I haven’t been taking any pain relievers (We were eliminating variables) that supposedly reduce the flow, or is it just a fluke thing?
This is freakin’ me out. I’ve used like a gazillion tampons. o.o
Yes, I stopped taking the Naproxen (I was taking it TWICE a day!) after switching from an awful in-town rheumatologist to an out-of-town fantastic rheumatologist! She put me on one 20mg dose of Peroxicam a day, so hopefully my stomache lining was given a slight chance to recover! C:

I went to ER the other nite, & they gave me something that made me drowsey. I see my regular Dr tomorrow. I have pain on the right side of my neck and my scalp has like spasms at times. I had a CT SCAN and head and neck X-Rays & the early arthritic changes is all they said in the ER. I went to the ER because my BP was 188/118 due to the pain. I have a high pain tolerance and was just blowing off the head & neck aches.

Well i just want to know signs because it takes her a long time to get up, when shes laying down…And shes slightly over weight :]…Ok ok..She IS overweight haha about 100lbs. I mean is…is there signs if she has pains?…Or should we just take her to the vet?

I’m particularly interested in what people experienced with the following:

1. Hill’s Prescription J/D
2. Deramaxx
3. Metacam
4. Adequan Canine

Any other things you’ve tried?

Thank you! :)

The bottom of heel hurts when standing up after sitting or lying down. Dr. gave me Vioxx, it did help but was taken off the market, other over-the-counter pain easers do not help. Have also tried elevation and hot jacuzzi water. Any suggestions? HELP!

My doctor put me on 200 mg of celebrex once a day. It does not help. Do any of you have any ideas of what I can do to reduce the pain? At times I can hardly walk, this is affecting my life in a very bad way.
