I am 22 with Osteoarthritis after numerous operations on my foot - what is the best form of excerise?
swimming, horse riding
Richard, the last operation was a triple arthrodesis at 13! The foot is pinned, and it was a result of a club foot! Hope that helps- and thanks for your help

England, with this problem I would recommend that you do such activities as swimming, walking in water, slow movements such as yoga, riding a bike that has snap in cleats, or walking. The important part is to keep on moving and not to allow the feet to become stiff. You don’t state what the operations were but it might also benefit you to get custom made orthotics from a podiatrist as these will help to keep the feet in what is called an anatomical neutral position. This posture will decrease the stress on the bones of the feet.
