How can I get my cat to stop attacking my dog?
My cat keeps chasing my arthritic chihauhau. Any advice?
She’s only playing, but the dog is afraid of her.
Declawing is not an option for her b/c my family and I find that inhumane
The cat is actually a year older than our dog. We can’t rid of the cat b/c she is my older brother’s pride and joy.

Buy Soft Paws claw caps at the pet store and put them on. This eliminates scratching but allows the claws to stretch normally. Keep an eye on them so that when one comes off you can replace it. They last a few weeks or a couple of months, though the first time they may not last as long.
This should level the playing field between the cat and the dog; they both have teeth. The cat knows this, and the dog probably won’t have to use his.
And squirt the cat when it misbehaves too.
Put them in seperate rooms.
declaw it
separate them. It s not fair to your dog
keep the cat outside and the dog inside then switch when you feel nessecary
By keeping them separately.
The behaviour of the cat is natural.
Find a way to separate both of them by making sure they are not together.
usually it’s the other way around…. poor doggy
seperate them… get a kitten to distract the cat… spray the cat with a water bottle or declaw mr. kitty
hahaha…my cat does the same thing to my dog. it’s terrible isn’t it? but i don’t know how to make my cat stop. if you figure it out tell me too!
invest in a water pistol! everytime puss attacks the old one squirt it. works for stropping etc. too.
Isn’t that backwards? Just kidding… but seriously. But is your cat neutered or spayed (depending on the gender obviously)? This normally calms them down. Also declawing discourages this.

You can’t, the cat is a bully and the dog is infirm. I would get rid of the cat, it is cruel to the dog since it can’t defend itself…that is my two cents worth!
Get a squirt bottle and spray your cat each time he/she attacks. Cat will back off in a hurry.
We use the spray bottle all the time. Works like a charm, and doesn’t harm them.
