Many times the recovery time of an injury will be lessened if you are able to combine massage therapy with other treatment.

Another type of massage is known as aromatherapy massage. This type of massage combines a relaxing massage with the use of essential oils, many of which have some healing properties. Aromatherapy is used in many spas around the country as a great way to induce relaxation while at the same time relieving muscles of soreness and stiffness.

Reflexology is yet another form of massage that is very popular. The massage therapist uses his or her fingers to place pressure on certain points of your feet. These points of your feet are in correspondence with certain areas of the body. Reflexology is most often used to attain a sense of balance

Oriental types of massage are also very popular. There are different types of oriental massage, such as shiatsu and acupressure. Both these massage methods focus on the points in the body that are located on the pressure meridians. The goal of oriental massage is to achieve balance and harmony in the body and bring about an overall sense of well being.
