While the horrors of terrorism are definitively monstrous and repelling, why do we allocate so much of our time, resources, fear, television time, and most importantly, our young men, when in fact, terrorism is nothing compared to more urgent issues. For Zeus’s sake, terrorism is a blip in deaths compared to cancers, car crashes, drugs, basically anything really. Why do we partake in the propaganda and hysteria that tells us we need to fear terrorism and kill people when we can be PREVENTING the deaths of so many Americans (and Iraqis, Afghanis, et al.), on U.S. soil, and abroad?

Good arguments, but through education, better automobiles, an FDA that actually did its job, preventing the over prescription of drugs, longer trials for drug companies, etc.. All of these combined can and will bring the death toll down. And terrorism is surely preventable. The terrorists did NOT attack us because we are free and prosperous. They attacked us for the sole reason that we have been meddling in their affairs ever since we could build ships and have an empire. We consistently invade, pillage, overthrow and terrorize their countries, and noone expects a backlash? It finally has come, and finally on our own soil.

After years of 800 MG ibuprofen my doctor took me off them, this is the same doctor who took me off Embrel when I developed neurological symptoms consistent with MS and the same one who 4 years ago put me on Vioxx and then took me off Vitamin E (whoops made a little mistake there).

He’s an excellent rheumatologist and is well known.

I’m a musician and a have a sausage digit it it stays swollen long enough I’ll lose mobility doctors don’t seem to take stuff like that serious that’s a huge deal to me I already have 2 deformed fingers from reiter’s syndrome (reactive arthritis) so I went to Mexico and got some prednisone. I like Ibuprofen but not enough to die for.
Well I am qualified to put myself on prednisone. I’m the only one qualified to make decisions about my heath, I hire a doctor for his expert advice and scientific knowledge, not because I need a new god

Democrats had a slim majority for the last 2 years of the Bush presidency and did not have enough votes to over ride a veto.

The FDA (FOOD and DRUG ADMINISTRATION) was supposed to be over seeing DRUGS that’s Vioxx and FOOD that’s BEEF.

I am researching medications that are still being prescribed even though it has nasty implications. An example would be Vioxx - but I do not think it is on the market anymore.

…I get stomach pain within one hour
I quit before using nicorette and it was effective for me. It seems that since I was on Vioxx and Celebrex for a knee surgery 8 years ago, now my stomach is sensitive to nicorette and other nicotine products. How could cigarrettes themselves not hurt my stomach at all. Maybe there is something I can take that would protect my stomach. I really want to quit smoking, hopefully for the last time.

I think it may be because the attorney general has been the defense lawyer for so many other greedy soulless corporations. Among them murderous Pfizer and their clandestine Vioxx horror.

gallbladder used to be. I told the doctor who performed the surgery how I was still hurting. He gave me Vioxx and then on another visit, he prescribed another anti-inflammatory. None of it changed anything. Here I am in 2008 and I still have pain in this area especially after I stand for a little bit. I am starting to believe he damaged a nerve. Has anyone had a similar experience.

I just went to get my first injection and had second thoughts because the OB showed me some articles from a reputable newspaper about how Merck, the company which makes it, is not necessarily trustworthy because Vioxx, another one of their prodcuts, doesn’t work as said. She also said that the FDA is turning into a corporation which doesn’t have our best interests at heart, which I agree with, but isn’t THIS vaccine a good one? Especially if it prevents cervical cancer and 70% of HPV as claimed.

She also said it had only been researched for 8 yrs. or so which was not enough time to know potential long-term effects.

I was actually a little offended she presented me this information and had such agenda-pushing. I don’t know what to do now! Is it safe or not?

I just found out that after 7yrs of pain I’m getting money for alll the pain that I’m going through with my knee I have OA and it’s painful. I was on Vioxx for a while but I got off because it was making me depressed and I was having mood swings. And now that I’m getting this money everyone is all up in y face like they know me, but I didn’t have any money they didn’t know me but as soon as they found out I was getting paid. They wanted to come around and be my friend what should I do?
I told only my sister and she told everyone else. I have been keeping a low profile about it all. I guess I shouldn’t have told her because she told everyone else. I like to keep it love key and I have plans to go back in to shcool for my Master in Business Management and a Mionr in child Psy.
