I CANNOT take any type of NSAID (Advil, Aleve, Tyleol, etc.) due to an ulcer. I just want to get some sleep, can anyone help?

I need to take a pain killer thats is not a NSAID. I have been taking Advil, then Aleve and now Meloxicam. I feel terrible all I can do is sit all day. I rather man up and live with the pain of a tailbone bruise then continue this way.
that cortisone shot idea sounds good I am going to call my doctor thank you for the suggestion

Especially when I take ibuprofen or Aleve, I will get quarter sized bruises all over, with an emphasis on my legs and thighs. I’m taking about 25+ bruises in which there has been no injury. Sometimes I”ll get huge bruises. One time I went to the doctor with a sinus infection that wouldn’t go away. He saw a bruise on my thigh the size of a large cantalope. I woke up one day, and it was there. I never injured it. I’d also get bruises the size of grapefruits on my arms. Anyways he sent me for a blood test for cancer. He actually called me on a Saturday at home to make sure I got the blood work done. The blood work didn’t show anything.

I have a history of miscarriages. My fertility doctor said I had low hormone levels and put me on progesterone. After that no miscarriages. Found out from my OB I had MTHFR. She said it was one type that didn’t cause blood clots/increased risk of strokes, etc, but was associated with miscarriages. She didn’t specify, and I wasn’t knowlegdeable enough to know the kinds of MTHFR there were.

Does anyone out there have MTHFR and bruising?? I’ve been tested for anemia, and I pass. I eat a lot of fruits, veggies, milk and meat.

Should I see a physical therapist or my general doc? I have pain in my knees. If I take an Aleve, the pain goes away for a while but later returns.

I’m having a hard time with my ankles more than my knees. They don’t bother me unless I’m on my feet too long, then I can hardly stand; and the pain is pretty bad. What are you doing for yourself? I was taking Celebrex, but stopped because it got too expensive; now I’m taking Aleve but I think my body has become immune too it. I can’t afford to go to a doctor and I have no health insurance. Any suggestions?

How to get rid of headaches?

I’ve been suffering with a horrible headache every day for the last 3 weeks, and I’m not sure what to do about stopping them. I’ve tried every single d available over the counter at Walgreen’s (ibuprofen, aspirin, paracetamol, aleve), and none of them seem to work. Is there another option out there that’s maybe more natural - because I have stomach issues, or maybe another NSAID available?

if it works SO MUCH better than aleve, then i’ll do it, but at 5 for a 30 day supply, versus about for generic naproxen, i’m not really enthusiastic about trying celebrex…

answer if you’ve tried Celebrex, even if you didn’t use it for carpal tunnel syndrome.

What is the best for joint pain in a 40 yr old male?

My husband has sore knees, is quite physical in his job, and is thinking of taking one a day Aleve or some type of aspirin? or ibuprophen ??? ANy suggestions? Or I may just read the bottles at the pharmacy.
