I’m 16 and sadly, I’ve been cracking my fingers for about 5 years. I’ve tried to stop many times but it feels extremely uncomfortable if I avoid cracking them when I feel like I need to.
Lately when I’m on the computer, I get a dull pain in my fingers, through the side of my wrist and sometimes up to my elbow. I spend alot of time on the computer, I do all my school work on here and I plan on getting a career in it so controlling the pain is crucial.
I haven’t been to the doctor for it yet but I’d just like peoples opinions first, does anyone think this could be arthritis?
My dad has arthritis in his fingers and knees (I get a pain he’s to me in my knees on rare odescribed ccasion) but he’s never needed to crack his fingers as much as I do.

I was diagnosed as having Osteorthritis in my right neck, shouldner, elbow, wrist & fingers. I am constantly hurting and Ibprofen doesn’t help with the pain much.
Is there anything else I might can try that medicaid will pay for?

I have had pain in my knees and ankles since I was 15. I am 31 now and last night woke up with severe pain in my left knee, both ankles and throughout my feet as well as pain in my neck, hands and left elbow. The pain was so severe that just standing made me nauseated. Moving my feet in any way hurt as if I had broken my ankles.
Yes I have had an MRI done, blood test, you name it. The doctors say they can’t find anything wrong with me.

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my elbow In December of 2007. I would like to know if it happened overnight (the arthritis), or does it building up over months or years to become painful enough to notice?

In the past 3 months I have developed pain in my right knee, hip and have had pain in the elbow, shoulder, etc… at different times over the past year that has lasted, but now subsided. The left side in fine all the way around. Hope it is just because I am 42.

I am 18 years old and I suffer from a lot of joint pain. I have sprained my ankles several times, my knees are basically crippled - I can’t even jump down 3 feet and every time I bend my knees there are loud pops, I have severe wrist pain, finger pain, and I even throw-out my elbow from time to time. I’m not all that abusive to my body as far as sports and such, but I feel like my joints are wasting away and I’m only 18! What’s wrong with me?

I sprained my ankle and 8 weeks later developed what is diagnosed as osteoarthritis in my elbow. Are these two conditions related?

I have osteoarthritis in my hands, wrists and one knee. Now my elbow is hurting and I really don’t want to go to the Dr.’s again. How do you tell the difference? Thanks for the help.
