Do nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, and Acetylsalicylic acid produce acute withdrawal symptoms e.g. headache, body ache, nausea? If so, what is the best method of combating them?

I have 10 knee surgeries over the past 17 yrs, all on the same knee. Two were for a torn patellar tendon , one was was an acl replacement, and the other 7 were all scopes, even though the doc does a scope every time. Between the times i have the past 4 surgeries my knee has always hurt and taking tylenol and/ or ibuprofen all the time is not good for anyone. I thought taking those meds was for short term use. I have changed docs but it seems they all want to start over with the meds I had tried before even if I had documented that I allergies to certain NSAID meds and and allergry to demoral. Why is it so hard for the doctor to listen to me when I what works? But these days the DEA has them scared to prescibe, its not that im asking for strong meds, I just want to make my quality of life better. For the record i’m only 37 and have no addtiction history, and have even asked to goto a pain management doc.

Midol, Pamprin, etc. all have Tylenol plus other medications. I cannot take Tylenol!!! Midol’s formulas with naproxen and ibuprofen do not contain any other medication, they are just the NSAID.
i already said that i can’t take pamprin/midol/ or anything of that sort because they contain acetaminophen..

I understand that exogenous steroidal administration (such as hydrocortisone) can be dangerous for many reasons. Likewise, NSAIDs, like ibuprofen, naproxen, asa, etc. have their inherent dangers as well. my question is - for doctors approaching inflammation and mild pain - what criteria for the condition in question must be met in order for the physician to prescribe one of the meds over the other (that is, an NSAID over a steroid and vica verca)?

So I’m reading that I should not take Ibuprofen (or any NSAID) while on Prozac without asking my doctor. But I have a headache nowwwww. Do any of you pharmacists or doctors out there know if it would be OK to mix the two, or under what additional circumstances I should not mix the two? I figure under some circumstances it may be OK if it says to consult with your doctor, instead of outright saying "do not mix the two".
I am open to questions and will answer them in the additional detail section.
Thanks!

Taking 100 mg of Voltaren for a swollen ankle. How does voltaren differ from ibuprofen? Is it stronger?
I just wondered because taking other anti-infamatory drugs like motrin or advil did not do anything for the swelling and pain in my ankle. but only 2 doses of Voltaren, and I my ankle feels great.

I’ve been suffering with a horrible headache every day for the last 3 weeks, and I’m not sure what to do about stopping them. I’ve tried every single d available over the counter at Walgreen’s (ibuprofen, aspirin, paracetamol, aleve), and none of them seem to work. Is there another option out there that’s maybe more natural - because I have stomach issues, or maybe another NSAID available?

I feel like I have rheumatoid arthritis, but I had a blood test and it was ruled out. I can predict rain with these joints now! In especial pain are the tops of my knees and my thumbs (can’t open jars). Also painful are my ankles, toes and fingers.
My OB referred me to my general practitioner. He told me to take ibuprofen, which is helping, but long term I don’t think it’s a good idea to take a constant regimen of it.
Other thoughts? I feel like someone who has lived a good, long life and I’ve got a way to go yet!

I am having surgery in a month to fuse 2 vertabrae together, I have already been on vicoprofen for a month, and with another month to go, and 6 weeks recovery, what are the adverse effects? I know the effects of the NSAID (Ibuprofen), so I just need to know abou the hydrocodone. I am taking 15-30mg every 4-6 hours.

My eyes swell badly when I pop in ibuprofen @ paracetamol. I know that I should try different drugs on myself because no one knows better than my own body. However, has anyone faced the same situation and has already tried an effective drug for him or herself ?
I do know that Paracetamol and Ibuprofen go under the same category - NSAID. That means other NSAIDS should have at least similar effects, right ?
